THE KIDS MENU is a feature-length documentary by the crew behind "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead." With his last two films, filmmaker Joe Cross met hundreds of people around the world, and one issue that came up repeatedly was what to do about the growing childhood obesity problem. Joe speaks with experts, parents, teachers, and children in THE KIDS MENU, and comes to the conclusion that childhood obesity is merely a symptom of a larger problem. Lack of understanding of what constitutes a healthy diet. There is a scarcity of healthful, low-cost solutions. Negative role models, whether they are parents, teachers, or even celebrities, have an impact. All of this may appear to be too much to overcome, yet when given the opportunity, children frequently choose the healthier option.
