Stephen, a lonely middle-aged telemarketer, is socially uncomfortable and depressed. He sets out to recruit a prostitute for "The Girlfriend Experience" after a coworker suggested it. When he does this, he encounters streetwise call lady Christa, who is more than happy to satisfy his desires. It's a surprise, but it happens. In the beginning, it was just a business deal.
