Having a self absorbed newage mother and an estranged dad means Ellis Whitman that is 15-year-old has grown up depending in an unconventional protector: a goat-trekking sage Goat Man. Therefore when Ellis decides to leave the ways of the desert homestead to get a stuffy East Coast prep school, big changes are in store. Although perhaps not in the manner in which you'd think. Though stoned, the competent and exceptionally clever Ellis effortlessly aces faculty and excels. It's his connections with all the adults in his entire life that examine him challenging his beliefs, as the season advances.
